Tidying up after the big party

Well, we partied into the night and now it's time to clear up the empty beer bottles, crushed beer cans, sweep up the spent party poppers and rearrange the furniture.
That's right folks, it's the day after the boards.org.uk birthday party. Okay, there wasn't actually a party but it was a good milestone to have reached
So, time to reflect on what's happened over the last year. Well in the earliest days of the site there was lots of activity, a load of new users signed up and amazingly some of them still post!!
We banned Polmki and his numerous alternative accounts which is actually a pity because I've a feeling that the guys is actually quite smart and could be a good contributer if he could banish the troll within.
A few of our early days users have stopped posting, princessdonkey, Funk You, Magnum, Jimoslimos, and Faith spring to mind but blah has been ever constant. The For Sale forum would be lonely without Coldfire and the computers forum would be nothing without Coldfire and Fysh. Jack B Badd and Fysh have improved our knowledge of comic books, an area I know nothing about. Smashey is a regular visitor but I fear his heart is in boards.tv
BuffyBot has been ever vigilant in cleaning up the place after the spammers get in. Cloud and Vexorg have been a great help when there were problems I just couldn't fix with the site, thanks for the opportuninty guys and thanks for the help
Some stats.
We've had 288 new registrations in the past year. Most of these are boards.ie users reserving their usernames, many are spammers but some have been genuine UK users! Imagine that
There were 164 posts in December
There were 241 posts in January

So you can't draw any real conclusions from this without proper analysis. We're certainly getting there and there has been some great discussion in the past couple of months, so we need to retain our userbase and grow. That simple really!
So, thanks to all of you who read this blog and those of you who post on the forum. I'm looking forward to this time next year so that we can compare the figures
