The phenomenon of forum lurkers

Forum lurkers are people who log into web forums on a regular basis, read the content but never post. I've been thinking about lurkers a lot recently because there are quite a few on boards.org.uk. :)

Some of the lurkers have registered accounts, log into their accounts, read but don't post. Other lurkers I just recognise by IP address only. I'm the kind of person who likes to share my opinion...in case you didn't already know ;) I like to discuss anything and everything. I'm passionate about some subjects and merely have a passing interest in others. Either way, I can't resist posting on my favourite forums and contributing to the community.

I'd love to know what our lurkers think of boards.org.uk. Do they laugh and agree with some threads and then fly into a rage when they read others? I admire their ability not to comment! I can't resist sometimes. Do our lurkers regularly post on other forums? What forums do they post on? What would they like to see on boards.org.uk?

If any of our lurkers are reading this, why not log ito the site and contribute. If something ticks you off or delights you, tell the world...or at least the rest of us here :D You've been reading the forums, you know we don't bite...go on, star posting, I want to hear what you have to say!
